The Bile Titan is a massive, heavily-armored Terminid superheavy, appearing to be the final growth stage of a Bile Spitter. Despite its colossal size, it is surprisingly fast, capable of catching up to Helldivers while spewing lethal bile similar to a Bile Spewer. In close quarters, it can also crush Helldivers with its powerful claws.
Spawning
Bile Titans first appear as an Elimination Target on Challenging difficulty and begin spawning naturally at higher levels, becoming more frequent as difficulty increases.
Behavior
Bile Titans use their bile-spewing attack to saturate large areas, dealing immense damage over time. Helldivers caught in the full stream can be quickly incapacitated.
When forced into close-range combat, Bile Titans rely on their hulking claws to crush enemies.
Bile Titans remain stationary for several seconds while preparing their bile attack, creating a vulnerable window for Helldivers to strike.
Tactics
- Orbital Railcannon Strike provides a guaranteed kill, but its long cooldown makes it an expensive option.
- Eagle 110mm Rocket Pods can deal significant damage, but multiple direct headshots are required to ensure a kill.
- The Eagle 500kg Bomb can effectively eliminate a Bile Titan if caught within the blast radius. However, accurate timing is crucial, as Bile Titans may move out of the impact zone before detonation.
- Placing the Stratagem beacon directly beneath the Titan increases the chance of hitting its sacs and legs, maximizing damage.
- Hellpods can deal heavy damage, making a sacrificial landing a last-resort strategy. The Power Steering module improves the odds of landing directly on the Titan.
- NUX-223 Hellbomb and SEAF Artillery: Mini-Nuke can eliminate Bile Titans from long range.
- SEAF Artillery: High-Yield Explosive can kill a Bile Titan if it lands underneath it.
- The Orbital Laser will kill a Bile Titan in 10 seconds if it stays locked on target.
- Destroying both bile sacs under the abdomen and thorax significantly weakens the Titan, forcing it to rely solely on melee attacks. However, after losing at least one sac, the Titan becomes more aggressive, attempting to stomp Helldivers more frequently.
- G-23 Stun Grenades do not affect Bile Titans.
- High-damage weapons, such as the EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank, can completely destroy bile sacs, making the Titan easier to handle.
- Targeting and destroying a leg with an anti-tank weapon will remove its armor, allowing a follow-up shot to destroy the limb and instantly kill the Titan.
- Bile Titans can inadvertently damage or kill other Terminids, including other Bile Titans, with their bile attacks. This can be exploited to eliminate multiple Titans in chaotic engagements.
