Overview of Sirius

Sirius is one of the four planets within the Xi Tauri Sector, known for its harsh environment and strategic significance in the outer frontier of Super Earth. Despite being discovered during the First Galactic War, its colonization was delayed until the Great Democratization, making it one of the more recent settlements in the sector. Due to hostile conditions, its population remained concentrated in small urbanized pockets, making it a less prominent but steadfast colony of Super Earth.

Topography

Sirius features a rugged, barren landscape, resembling RD-4 and Rasp, with rocky terrain, scattered craters, and unpredictable climate patterns. The planet’s low temperatures and limited vegetation make it a harsh place to live, with urban settlements isolated from one another. Despite these conditions, Super Earth pioneers managed to establish self-sustaining colonies, relying on imported resources and advanced technology for survival.

History

For much of its history, Sirius remained an unremarkable colony, largely untouched by major conflicts. However, on January 1st, 2185, the planet found itself under sudden and unexpected assault. The Illuminate, a long-defeated enemy thought to have been wiped out after the First Galactic War, reappeared with overwhelming force. Following their disastrous defeat at RD-4, the Illuminate launched a desperate counteroffensive, targeting Sirius in a large-scale raid aimed at looting its settlements and resources.

The Helldivers, despite lacking any new major orders at the time, quickly deployed onto Sirius, committed to repelling the alien incursion and preventing further Illuminate expansion. What was once a quiet, forgotten frontier world suddenly became a battleground, marking Sirius as one of the first planets to experience direct combat against the resurgent Illuminate in the Second Galactic War.
