Overview of Shallus
Shallus is one of the four planets within the Talus Sector. Once a hub for xenobiological research, it later became a key battleground in the Second Galactic War during the Automaton Reclamation.
Topography
Shallus shares similarities with Tibit, featuring dense ethereal jungles and mysterious flora that made it a prime location for scientific research.
History
During the early Second Galactic War, Shallus remained a peaceful Super Earth colony, detached from major conflict zones. However, in September 2184, the Automatons launched a surprise offensive, attempting to seize control of the Talus Sector through coordinated assaults.
With Gaellivare cutting its supply lines to neighboring sectors, Shallus and Shelt remained vulnerable, assuming their proximity to the Sol System would protect them. This false sense of security shattered on September 6th, when Automaton forces at Mastia launched an assault on Shelt, while their main force attacked Gaellivare from Lesath.
Although Shelt held its ground, Gaellivare fell, forcing Helldivers to prioritize defending Imber. Meanwhile, the Automatons capitalized on this by taking Vog-Sojoth.
By September 10th, a resupplied Automaton vanguard at Mastia launched a dual assault on Shelt and Shallus. Against overwhelming odds, Helldivers successfully defended both planets, proving once more that Freedom will always triumph over tyranny.
