Overview of Setia
Setia is one of the five planets in the Omega Sector, situated on the very southern edge of Federation space before deep space begins. Due to its remote location, Setia was colonized much later than other Federation worlds, requiring decades of preparation before it could sustain human habitation.
Topography
Setia’s terrain and environment are comparable to Iro, Bashyr, and Khandark. It is a rugged, arid world with scattered mountainous regions, sparse vegetation, and deep canyons that carve through its rocky surface. The dry, dusty atmosphere poses challenges for both ground forces and aerial units, making combat operations highly unpredictable due to frequent sandstorms and temperature fluctuations.
History
Setia was a peaceful border colony right on the very southern edge of the Federation’s border before deep space. Due to its remoteness, it wouldn’t be until many decades after the First Galactic War that Setia would be colonized, as its remoteness posed a formidable challenge. Yet, following its colonization, its citizens had to subsist with what little they had in terms of both resources and opportunities, which led to their communities building scattered pockets of urbanized settlements throughout Setia’s surface.
However, this simple, meager existence was somehow a subject of attention for the Illuminate, an ancient foe of Super Earth that had resurfaced from its apparent extinction and was committed to waging war against Freedom once more. On January 20th, 2185, Setia was attacked by an Illuminate invasion fleet alongside Alathfar XI and Hort. The Helldivers, having orders to repel as many Illuminate assaults as possible, would have to split their forces between the three besieged planets and hope that they could contain the invaders.
