Overview of Seasse
Seasse is one of the five planets in the Omega Sector, located deep within the Southern Galactic Rim. Once a quiet and prosperous Super Earth colony, its strategic location made it a target for invasion during the resurgence of the Illuminate.
Topography
Seasse shares geological similarities with Asperoth Prime, featuring rugged terrain, dense lowland forests, and rocky cliffs. The planet’s surface is covered in thick vegetation, making it an ideal location for ambushes and defensive warfare. Frequent mist and rainstorms further limit visibility, creating hazardous conditions for both ground forces and aerial support.
History
For much of its existence, Seasse remained untouched by war, flourishing as a colony in the post-First Galactic War era. However, its tranquil history would be shattered with the return of an ancient enemy.
On December 23rd, 2184, the Illuminate launched an attack on Seasse, mere hours after their prior raid on Hydrobius. The Helldivers, occupied with securing the Umlaut Sector, could only dispatch a limited contingent to assist in repelling the invasion. Meanwhile, the main Helldiver forces prioritized the defense of Asperoth Prime, another high-value target under Illuminate assault.
Despite their best efforts, the Helldivers were unable to prevent the plunder of Seasse’s resources and infrastructure, as the Illuminate withdrew after 12 hours, having abducted civilians and looted supplies. The colony, once thriving, was left in ruins, its citizens either missing or displaced, marking yet another tragic chapter in the Second Galactic War.
