Overview of Oasis

Oasis is one of the seven planets in the Rictus Sector, known for its favorable climate and rapid colonization following the First Galactic War. For most of its history, Oasis remained a peaceful and prosperous colony of Super Earth, until it became a target of the Illuminate resurgence during the Second Galactic War.

Topography

Oasis shares similar terrain features with Baldrick Prime, Irulta, and Regnus. Its mild climate and lush landscapes made it an ideal colony world, fostering rapid urbanization and economic growth.

History

Oasis was among the early colonization efforts after Super Earth’s victory in the First Galactic War. Due to technological advancements during the Great Democratization, its settlement progressed rapidly, allowing it to develop into a thriving urban hub. For decades, it remained an uneventful and peaceful colony, largely untouched by major conflicts.

However, its tranquility was short-lived. In late 2184, the Illuminate, long presumed eradicated, returned from their hidden sanctuaries, launching a renewed campaign against Super Earth. With their forces regrouped and reorganized, they sought to strike at key planets, and Oasis became one of their first targets.

On January 5th, 2185, an Illuminate raiding party launched a direct assault on Oasis, marking the planet’s first experience with war. At the time, the Helldivers were engaged in the Marspira Sector, dealing with other threats, but they dispatched a contingent to interfere with the invasion as much as possible. The battle for Oasis had begun, as Super Earth forces braced for the conflict ahead.
