Overview of Myrium
Myrium is one of the four planets in the Morgon Sector, located deep in the Southern Galactic Rim. It shares similar terrain characteristics with Calypso, making it a key colony in Super Earth’s expansion.
Topography
The landscape of Myrium closely resembles that of Calypso, featuring diverse biomes with lush environments and sprawling urban settlements developed during the Great Democratization. The planet’s climate is relatively mild, supporting thriving agriculture and advanced urban infrastructure, making it an attractive colony for settlers before the war.
History
Myrium remained a peaceful and prosperous colony throughout its early years, its economy flourishing enough to support extensive urbanization and sustained growth. Like many other colonies settled after the First Galactic War, it remained largely uneventful—until the resurgence of an ancient enemy.
On December 25th, 2184, Myrium was suddenly attacked by the Illuminate, an old adversary of Super Earth, long believed to be defeated and extinct. The invasion shattered the planet’s tranquility, marking it as one of the many colonies targeted in the Illuminate’s return to war.
The Helldivers, armed with special weaponry in celebration of the Festival of Reckoning, swiftly deployed to defend Myrium. However, despite their advanced arsenal and valiant efforts, they lacked the manpower to completely repel the Illuminate assault. The enemy’s overwhelming forces managed to devastate much of the planet before retreating, leaving behind a trail of destruction.
Yet, the Illuminate’s hunger for conquest was not sated. On January 15th, 2185, they launched another invasion fleet, seeking to further their domination over the planet. Unfortunately, with the Helldiver main fleet engaged in the containment of Terminid outbreaks at the Farsight Sector, only a small contingent could be spared to aid in Myrium’s defense.
The fate of Myrium remains uncertain, as the planet continues to suffer under the repeated assaults of the Illuminate.
