Overview of Moradesh

Moradesh is one of the seven planets within the Celeste Sector. Access to the planet remains restricted due to both a lack of hostile forces and the classified research projects conducted there. The planet became a focal point during the Second Galactic War, particularly due to experimental weapons development.

Topography

Moradesh shares visual similarities with Phact Bay and Zagon Prime, characterized by dry, rocky terrain with mesas and canyons. Water and vegetation are scarce across the landscape.

History

During the Second Galactic War, Moradesh became the center of a secretive research effort known as the Moradesh Project. The Ministry of Science sought to develop a superweapon capable of neutralizing the Terminid Supercolony on Meridia. Researchers experimented with a volatile substance known as Dark Fluid, which in an accidental breakthrough collapsed into a micro-black hole, leading to facility casualties and an emergency shutdown. Despite the setback, weaponized Dark Fluid production resumed shortly afterward.

On May 30, 2184, Operation Enduring Peace was initiated, deploying Dark Fluid payloads into Meridia’s planetary crust. Over time, microscopic gravitational distortions weakened the planet’s tectonic integrity, and by June 2, 2184, Meridia was completely consumed by a newly formed black hole, eliminating the Supercolony. The Moradesh Research Facility was decommissioned following the exhaustion of all Dark Fluid reserves, and its scientists were awarded the Super Citizenship Medal of Freedom.

Following the war’s shifting tides, Moradesh remained undisturbed until January 14, 2185, when the Terminids launched an unexpected assault—marking the first enemy incursion in the Celeste Sector in over a century. With the fall of Cirrus, the Terminids attempted to advance further, but the Helldivers swiftly deployed in force to Moradesh. After fierce battles, the Terminid invasion was repelled by the next day, preventing further advances into the Celeste Sector and allowing the Helldivers to counterattack on Cirrus and Heeth.
