History
For much of its history, Andar remained a quiet and stable colony, untouched by the larger conflicts that raged across the galaxy. However, its steady development eventually allowed it to establish modernized settlements, complete with paved roads, clean water distribution systems, waste management, and reliable energy infrastructure. The pride of its citizens was evident each Liberty Day, as they raised their Super Earth Flags across its well-maintained green lawns in a display of unwavering patriotism.
Yet, from the depths of space, an ancient enemy observed this peaceful world with envy. The Illuminate Icon Illuminate, long thought to have been banished from the Milky Way at the turn of the previous century, saw an opportunity to strike. On December 18th, 2184, they launched a simultaneous assault on Andar and Acubens Prime, marking the resurgence of their campaign of destruction across the Southern Galactic Sectors.
Determined to put an end to these relentless raids, the Helldivers—who had already achieved victories against the Illuminate at Calypso, Bellatrix, and Kerth Secundus—rallied their forces to counter the invasion. Their mission was clear: to safeguard the lives of Super Earth citizens and eliminate the enemy before more innocent blood was spilled.
However, the Illuminate were relentless in their pursuit of chaos. On January 8th, 2185, they launched a midnight raid against Andar, hoping to exploit the ongoing battles across multiple fronts. Unfortunately for the Helldivers, their forces were already stretched thin, engaged in a fierce Automaton advance at Matar Bay and a Terminid offensive on Terrek and Acamar IV. This left only a small contingent of Helldivers available to defend Andar, forcing them into a desperate battle to hold back the invaders.
