Overview of Alathfar XI
Alathfar XI is one of the five planets within the Akira Sector, strategically positioned near the Southern Galactic Mid Rim. Established as a Super Earth colony after the First Galactic War, it quickly became an essential spaceport and trade hub. Its stable economy flourished over generations, allowing its citizens to develop urban centers that supported its growing population.

Similar in terrain to Mog, New Stockholm, and Hadar, Alathfar XI features a diverse landscape that facilitated both settlement expansion and military operations.
History
Before the war, Alathfar XI thrived as a peaceful colony, benefiting from its key location along trade routes. Its economic strength and strategic position made it a prime target for an old foe thought to be eradicated—the Illuminate Icon Illuminate. On January 19th, 2185, during their planet-hopping campaign that began in December 2184, the Illuminate launched an invasion of the planet.
In response, the Helldivers deployed their main fleet to defend Alathfar XI, while part of their forces remained at Heeth to assist in its liberation campaign. Despite their efforts, the Illuminate managed to withdraw after 12 hours of combat, inflicting considerable damage before retreating.
Although the Illuminate secured some spoils, they suffered heavy casualties. In desperate need of replenishing their Voteless ranks, they launched multiple simultaneous assaults across different planets, hoping to stretch the Helldivers thin. However, this reckless strategy backfired—the Helldivers, supported by the Democracy Space Station, capitalized on the enemy’s overextension, securing victory after victory.
With dwindling options, the Illuminate shifted tactics, attacking planets where Helldiver presence was limited. On January 20th, they set their sights on Asperoth Prime. The following day, on January 21st, they launched another multi-planet offensive, striking Setia, Hort, and Alathfar XI. The Helldivers, forced to divide their forces, prioritized securing Alathfar XI while making calculated advances on the other two planets. Their strategy aimed to stabilize the sector and eventually turn the tide of war.
