Overview of Afoyay Bay
Afoyay Bay is one of six planets in the Gallux Sector, known for its well-developed urban settlements and thriving economy. Having been colonized after the First Galactic War, the planet prospered under the governance of Super Earth, boasting modern infrastructure, clean energy, paved roads, and immaculate green landscapes adorned with Super Earth flags and Helldiver memorials. However, its peaceful existence would soon be shattered by a long-dormant threat.
Topography
Afoyay Bay’s terrain and climate are similar to Bellatrix and Achernar Secundus. The planet features expansive grasslands, rocky plateaus, and scattered urban centers, making it strategically important for planetary defense and colonial expansion.
History
For years, Afoyay Bay remained a beacon of stability and progress in the Gallux Sector. However, hidden in the void, a hatred-fueled enemy lurked, envious of the prosperity and freedom enjoyed by its people.
On December 23rd, 2184, mere hours after looting Hydrobius, the Illuminate launched an invasion of Afoyay Bay, seeking to ravage its resources and abduct its citizens. The Helldivers, enraged by the enemy’s merciless plundering, deployed onto the planet in an attempt to halt the destruction before it was too late. However, with their forces stretched thin across multiple battlefronts, they were unable to fully repel the invaders. After seizing valuable resources and civilians, the Illuminate withdrew, leaving ruin and despair in their wake.
The greedy aliens, however, were not yet satisfied. On January 14th, 2185, the Illuminate launched a second invasion of Afoyay Bay. This time, the Helldivers were preoccupied with defending against the Terminids in the Farsight Sector, forcing only a small contingent to be dispatched. Once again, the Illuminate pillaged the settlements and abducted more innocent colonists, withdrawing after 12 hours of devastation.
