Volcanic Activity causes volcanoes to hurl burning rocks across the battlefield, creating hazardous impact zones. These zones are briefly marked by a red light on the ground, giving Helldivers a chance to evade. Upon impact, the rocks leave behind temporary fires that add further danger to the area. Any Helldiver caught directly by a volcanic rock will instantly die, even if equipped with the SH-32 Shield Generator Pack. This environmental hazard is nearly identical to Meteor Storms, requiring constant awareness and movement to avoid lethal strikes.
